Sew, Mama, Sew Giveaway Day!

Today one of my favorite blogs, Sew, Mama, Sew is hosting a giveaway day. Basically a bunch of blogs (including yours truly) are offering up all sorts of goodies. It is a fantastic way to introduce yourself to some new blogs and win some awesome prizes. I am always amazed by the generosity of the quilting/crafting community. Take a moment to enter my fantastic giveaway and then head on over to Sew, Mama, Sew to see what else is up for grabs.

I am giving away a copy of Tula Pink's newest book, City Sampler.

I can't even begin to explain how excited I am to give this away.

Not only are the 100 blocks featured inside beautiful, but there are a variety of layout options given...and then book itself is beautiful! Check out Tula Pink's website for more photos and info about this must have quilt book.

To enter, use the rafflecoppter below a Rafflecopter giveaway

There are a few reasons I like quilt books. first I always learn something, secondly are all the patterns and lessons in them and then there are the pics. Depending who wrote the book they can also be a darn good read.

I read blogs to learn about what is going on in the sewing world, new fabrics, tools and notions. Favorite techniques and patterns. I have learned sew much from the blog community and made some friends along the way.

I like reading blogs both for inspiration and also for connection to people who have similar interests to me - I don't know anyone where I live who sews, and live so far away in my city from the various quilting stores that I never really get to them (seriously: 1+ hr by transit!) to meet people who are interested in similar things.

Because I'm nosey? lol. I like to see different fabric lines in action & colour combos I wouldn't use myself but am surprised to like, stuff like that. Triangles. I'm not really much for triangles as far as shapes go, but I need to make a triangle quilt eventually because I've seen so many of them around & I always just love them. Who knew?
